The Foreign Language Department of The Ellerslie School identified the following objectives in preparation for this educational tour to Guadeloupe:
- encourage our students to embrace French as a second language
- revitalize the study of French on the school's curriculum
- establish links with Guadeloupe.
Of note, students and teachers from Guadeloupe visited the school on the 17th June 2019 as part of this exchange programme. Our Guadeloupean guests were given a tour of various parts of the school followed by a friendly cricket match with our team.
