MODULE 5
HAFEMM 2009: O. O. WORRELL
2) Have a great attitude: a spiritually motivated attitude with enthusiasm propels the message of God’s love and salvation (Jn.3:16-17; 2Cor.5:14).
3) Be prepared: know your territory--plan ahead; be organized (street maps may be used to plan routes). For example:
4) Work the territory correctly: be guided by the Holy Spirit. You may not be capable of talking to everyone you meet or see, so follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Let Him lead you to the people (Acts 8:5-17, 26-40). It’s not a numbers game but a soul-winning quest (Mat.28:19-20; Mk.16:15-18; Jn.15:16). It’s not a competition but a Great Commission (Mat.7:22-23; 1Cor.3:1-15; 9:27).
5) Do not lose your attitude: protect yourself / safeguard yourself with the armour of God (Eph.6:10-18). Remember it’s a battlefield (out there and within the mind): Mat.10:16; Rom.7:23-25; 2Cor.10:3-5; Eph.6:10-18.
6) Know why you are there and what you are doing: God would have all people to be saved (2Pet.3:9; Rom.10:13-15).
7) Take control of your situation and your responsibility (Acts 13:44-48; 22-23:1-10; 26-27:13-44; 2Tim.1:6-7).
8) Don’t stay in one place longer than is necessary: God’s Spirit will tell you when to leave. Listen and obey! (Acts 8; 10-11:12; 13:1-4,49-52).
