Adherence to travel & health regulations:
  • Any additional supplies not listed may be included. Please be advised that airline security and safety regulators rigorously enforce weight limits for all luggage, including limits on the quantity and nature (type) of supplies in carry-on luggage.

  • Pack your luggage sensibly and within stipulated weight limit. If in doubt, weigh your luggage before leaving for the airport to ensure that you have not violated the weight limit.

  • There are no contingency plans in place to assist those who violate the stipulated weight policy. You may have to incur all penalties at your own expense during both the pre (departure) and post (return) trips.

  • You may be required to have a vaccination, including but not limited to influenza (flu), yellow fever, hepatitis B, tetanus, polio, malariaalong with appropriate malaria tablets where necessaryas a stipulated health requirement prior to travelling.

  • Allergic reactions to various medications, foods, outdoor or environmental allergens or a combination of these may occur. Please give early notice of any adverse health conditions to your missionary leader(s) as it relates to the aforementioned health requirements so that the matter can be addressed in as timely and appropriate a manner as circumstances permit.

  • Medical insurance and or extra spending money for emergency purposes may be necessary. This does not negate the fact that the missionary’s first line of defense and source of assistance is the Lord God Almighty. For He has promised, "I am with you always even unto the end of the world" (Mat.28:20). Moreover, "17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well." (Mk.16:17-18 NIV).

  • You may be required to have a visa (non-immigrant type) when travelling to or using "in transit" destinations where such travel requirements are rigorously enforced.

  • Notwithstanding the inherent dangers involved in missions, divine wisdom along with adherence to security and health requirements or advisories, particularly in the host country, are taken into consideration prior to travelling to said destination(s) or while in the host country, as it may be necessary, and where possible, to make an emergency exit from the particular missionary area and or host country. See, an attempt on Paul’s life in Acts 23:12-31.

  • Remember: 'to obey is better than sacrifice' (1Sam.15:22)

This is not meant to be an exhaustive list, any additional supplies or considerations deemed necessary may be included.
