FULL ASSEMBLY LED BY 2ND YEAR

The conclusion to the story started by Mr. Chapman
The main character of this story was only seventeen when he was first introduced to us. We discovered that he was well loved and favoured by his father in a household of twelve brothers. He was hated by his other ten older brothers and the youngest brother was perhaps his closest friend.
He had to deal with several major challenges, namely:
  1. being sold by his brothers as a slave, and
  2. falsely accused and imprisoned for attempted rape
Yet this young man did not give up on himself. In spite of the oddsthe difficulties and disappointments he was determined to give of his best. He did this as he went about his household tasksdelivering food to his brothers who were farmers; as a slave, he was a dedicated worker who excelled at accounts and economics as manager of his master’s business; as a prisoner, he was appointed by the Superintendent of Prison to the position of clerk of prison; and as the most skilled interpreter of dreams in the country, he was appointed by the king to the position of Minister of Finance and Economic Affairs.

In all of this, we see this young man making wise use of his time. He was not idle; he did not sit and plot the destruction of others. We are warned in the Book of Proverbs: Contemporary English Version (CEV):

10Don't be tempted by sinners
or listen
11when they say,
"Come on! Let's gang up
and kill somebody,
just for the fun of it!
12They're well and healthy now,
but we'll finish them off
once and for all.
13We'll take their valuables
and fill our homes
with stolen goods.
14If you join our gang,
you'll get your share."

Our local proverb simply states: "The devil finds work for idle hands"

You may feel rejection from at home, others may think of you as a failure, perhaps you struggle with low self-esteem and self-worth. Your world has not come to an end! Our main character overcame his obstacles by working hard, being honest, having a positive attitude, and using his God-given talents to make a difference which eventually made him into a success story. It can happen for you as well. Why not begin by MAKING WISE USE OF YOUR TIME....
